We are aware that many people interested in the martial arts never make the jump into training because they in vision their first class as being an intimidating and daunting task. Our school is different and designed to make you feel welcome. We are a modern martial arts facility, much different from the stereotypical martial arts school most people think of from the 70's with an instructor barking out orders and trying to scare their students. Our friendly students and well trained staff are here to guide you from the moment you walk in the door. So, leave your worries at home, stop procrastinating and come join us! You'll have a blast! MISSION STATEMENT: The Ernie Reyes' West Coast World Martial Arts Association mission is to impact and empower massive amounts of people's lives with the positive benefits of martial arts training throughout the world. ASSOCIATION PURPOSE: The purpose of our West Coast World Martial Arts Association of schools is to uphold the traditional values of martial arts respect, discipline, honor, loyalty, family, and bravery to the highest level of Black Belt Excellence. We must all be committed to our association's ideals by striving for the highest standards of excellence in: teaching, developing quality instructors, students, Black Belts, competitors, demonstration teams, and promotional events. We will provide professional clean martial arts schools and facilities. We will provide outstanding customer service, and organized business administration services equal to other professional service industries in the world.
WORLD RECOGNITION: Our association and Master Reyes' have been featured in every Martial Arts magazine in the world for developing extraordinary world class students.
Master Reyes was honored as one of the greatest martial art masters of the 20th century and was inducted into the Black Belt Hall Of Fame and received the Martial Arts Industry Association's Life time achievement award in 2007.

2. The Martial Arts Curriculum You Will Learn!
West Coast World Martial Arts style is a blending of traditional and modern day mix martial art training. It is a state of the art, martial arts system for the 21st century.
Our base is Tae kwon-do, a Korean style of martial arts, but our system is now more of a mix martial arts style of Kickboxing, Filipino stick and knife defense, submission grappling, Chinese and Japanese weapon training, as well as, incorporating practical street self defense techniques.
Our goal is not only to develop Black belts in martial arts but black belts in life.

Our system of teaching martial arts is the state of the art teaching method for modern times. Each class is build around dynamic energy and an accelerated training style that is Fun, Exciting, Empowering, and Educational from as young as 4 years old to 50+ years young.

We have over 80 members that have at least 1 family member enrolled with them and 30 members who have 2 or more family members enrolled with them. This has created an exciting & caring family environment!

BEST TESTERS: We have over 30 Black Belts who have won "Best Tester" Awards at the national black belt test IN California!
FAMOUS DEMO TEAM: Our black belt demonstration team (AKA "the Oregon Action Team") has wowed audiences from all over the Northwest including: Hillsboro & Century High schools, PGE Park for the Portland Beavers, Washington County Fair, Oregon Cup Martial Arts tournament, The Oregon Convention Center, the Advocare Success Convention in Portland, featured on News channel 8 at Sunrise with Drew Carney, and the Rose Garden for the Portland Trailblazers ½ time show! (Twice)
5. Our Team of Black Belt Instructors!
Our Instructors Purpose is to empower students in becoming well rounded, versatile, open minded and excellent martial art technicians in the most efficient and quickest way possible. NOW! Our focus is to enhance our students' choice of developing personal power, discipline, and respect through Ernie Reyes' West Coast World Martial Arts Associations' teaching process. We must master dynamic, fun, and empowering classes to keep our students earning their stripes motivated, educated, and inspired to train for health and happiness.
All of our Black Belt instructors have grown up with us since they were young white belts and have stayed loyal and dedicated ever since.
We have 4 instructors who have been with us for over 10 years, the rest of our instructors have been with us for 5+ years! There's a reason why they are so loyal... Quality!
We ensure that our instructors teaching skills are razor sharp! Once per week our instructors attend a teacher workshop to develop skills such as: communication skills, building good habits, attitude, Mastery, goal setting, organization, & child psychology. (and more!) Every day at our school before classes our instructors plan class and their teaching philosophy of the day. It's one way for our instructors to mentally prepare to be great role models and mentors to each and every student in our school!
All of our instructors at our school are also students here in the black belt classes. Our Black Belt instructors are first and foremost students of the arts and have a commitment to constant and never-ending improvement!
